David’s Dance Calendar

Sponsored by the Landgrove Historical Association, the annual Old Home Day concludes with an old-fashioned square dance. David Millstone will call traditional squares, with music by Jill Newton, fiddle, and Alan Partridge, guitar. 

There is no admission charge. Band sit-ins are welcome as long as there's room.

David calls lively dances for everyone, with a terrific trio playing traditional dance tunes: Thal Aylward, fiddle; Carol Compton, piano; Andy Davis, accordion. Sponsored by the South Woodstock Historical Society.

David Millstone will call mostly squares, with the Virginia Reel and other accessible dances. All dances taught; no experience necessary. Singles welcome. Weather permitting, we'll dance at the boat launch at Kezar Lake, a lovely location at sunset. Rain location: North Sutton fire station. Sponsored by the North Sutton Improvement Society.

Presenting a series of dances to class led by music professor Ted Levin, with music provided by Jane Orzechowski (fiddle) and Randy Miller (fiddle and accordion), backed by Prof. Levin on piano.

This community square dance is the final event in Dorchester's Old Home Day. David will call squares and other suitable dances. All dances will be taught and walked through; no prior experience is necessary. Musicians are Jane Orzechowski (fiddle) and Randy Miller (fiddle, accordion, piano), each of them a recipient of the Governor's Award for Folk Traditions.

Muster Field Farm Museum is an 18th Century historic homestead featuring restored buildings and a working farm.

David will be leading English country dances with music provided by Audrey Jaber, violin, and Alex Cumming, piano and accordion.
