David’s Dance Calendar

David calls lively dances for everyone, with a terrific trio playing traditional dance tunes: Thal Aylward, fiddle; Carol Compton, piano; Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki, fiddle and mandolin. Sponsored by the South Woodstock Historical Society. Strawberry shortcake at the break!

Come celebrate the 250th with traditional dances that have been part of New England communities since colonial days! No experience necessary -- all dances will be taught and are accessible to all ages. David Millstone will lead the dancing, with live music from Upper Valley Music Center musicians. (Fireworks start at 9:15 PM, visible from Colburn Park!)

“Texas Night” dance for campers and counselors at girls’ camp.

David calls the dances in this historic dance hall, with music by Calico: Jess Ball, Eric Boodman, Casey Murray. All dances taught, beginners welcomed (workshop at 7:10), potluck snacks at the break.

David Millstone will call squares, contras, Virginia Reel, and other accessible dances. All dances taught; no experience necessary. Singles welcome.

Muster Field Farm Museum is an 18th Century historic homestead featuring restored buildings and a working farm.

David Millstone provides the calls, with music from an open band led by Naomi Morse ~ fiddle, Amy Englesberg ~ piano & Emmet McGowan ~ drums.

No special clothing, footwear, or experience required. You're welcome to dance, listen, sit or chat and enjoy that cold beverage you brought along. Potluck snacks after the dancing. Feel free to bring simple finger food to share. Bring a beer, a wine, seltzer, tea, or whatever you fancy.
