We’ll be dancing to music by Ignatius Sancho, born a slave and later the first Black person to vote in an election in England. (Ruckus will be performing in concert the next night, a program built around English country dance music composed by Sancho and Handel.)

  • Fine Companions - Remembering Pinewoods Before 1975

    David Millstone will lead dances and coordinate other callers; music will be provided by Alchemy.

    In 2025, Pinewoods Camp celebrates its 100th anniversary. This special session focuses on memories of Pinewoods from 1944-1975 — from the year Lily Conant inherited Pinewoods Camp until the completion of the sale of the camp to Pinewoods Camp, Inc.

    The focus will be on community and being at Pinewoods. The programming includes English and American musical traditions offered during most of the sessions in those years.
